I would try to talk him down on the price. Every piece of metal is cancer on that thing. It does have some really nice parts though. I would get it, strip it and sell the parts but that's just me.

I am not interested in it, and it likely came from the north because cars just don't rust like that around here. I need to take a wire brush to get to the engine numbers to see if it is worth anything. I like the 77 in the other pictures because it was originally a silver with deluxe black interrior car according to the cowl plate. The car that I want most is the 73 he has, I will keep on him about that one.

i would gladly pay the 400-500 dollars for that thing...alot of that rust is a heavy surface rust...no pitting has really occured for it to go through....its not 100% solid but for a 76 i find that to be a decent price, especially since price has really skyrocketed on these cars...
