Console Shifter parts
« on: March 18, 2007, 03:09:21 PM »
Does anyone happen to have the parts that hook the cable from the console shifter to the transmission?  The person that owned my '80 before me had it rigged together with wire.  It seems there was a piece that hooked into the frame just under the firewall.  I would need the entire assembly except for the shifter cable.  Any help would be great.

if its an auto then it will go through the driveshaft tunnel and wrap down and around to the bracket mounted to the bottom of the tranny, the only thing going to the frame is the neutral safety switch mechanism

Cool thanks.  I didn't know if the previous owner removed parts from it or not
