How rare are the 81 recaro rear seats? I have one.

About as rare as Recaro TA's, since they all had one and nothing else did. Having said that, only an owner of that type would really be after one, if in good condition, and as no one seems to offer repro covers for them either. As far as I know it was only the matching upholstery on them, otherwise just a regular seat. So worth something to someone in good condition, worth little if in less than average as you're only paying for the trim, fill in the blanks!
