My Hurst T-Tops latches (2 sets) need the the "nut with rubber" that holds the tops in place. Anyone know where I can get them? I have tried hardware stores, part stores, swap meets, catalogs and just about everwhere inbetween. Any help would be apppreciated.

Check on some of the Vette forums.
I think some of the older vetts used Hurst latches.

Hello .. my hurst tops need those too. Please let me know what you come up with. My latches dont even have a nut to lock onto so they are wrecking the plastic trim!
Lemme know.. wish i had a lead.

I need them too and I've never seen a close-up to know what they're supposed to look like.

Borrowed this pic from Joe and Brian's site...does this show what you were curious about?

I saw that but was hoping for a closer view. Those bolts couldn't have been made by Hurst just for their t-tops. I'm sure they're around. And the rubber end kinda looks like a door stopper bumper I have in my garage.

hmm is it just a rubber end that pushes onto the inside plastic trim? I kinda thought that there was a metal nut that the metal part clamped down onto... as my tops dont have rubber ends on the clamps.
hrmm.. id like to see complete pics of the trim and HH clamps that are correct.
thanks!

This is the best photo that I can find for now. You can see the nut and just make out the rubber end to it.

Well those 2 bolts look different, but I'm not surprised. The hard part will be finding the rubber part.

I had some left over from having T-Tops installed into my old (long gone) 1972 Firebird.
They gave me some extras.
However, since my move out here to sunny hot Northern Arizona, I haven't found them yet.
I still have lots of boxes to unpack!
I'll post if I find them.

I will be heading to Orlando (were the bodywork is being done) this week. I have one decent one and will take a picture and post it. I have bought 3 sets of tops trying to get get a decent set to no avail. I contact a bolt and nut specailist and he said he had never seen anything like them before. My bodyman who does alot of TA restorations, told me he has seen where the hard rubber buttons used for cabinets have been epoxied on, but it doesn't last long.

Expand your search.
Here is a link of Corvette tops on e-bay.
Look at the handles.

I need to replace the adjusters on my latches also as all four are just stubs. Think this one would work? I don't know what the difference is between the two, but the second one looks better.
