Here is another auction for something that it is not supposed to be.

Here this guy is selling the CD soundtrack, but in his he states:
Before bidding on this CD, you must contact me to receive important information
 
IF YOU DO NOT CONTACT ME, YOU BID AT YOUR OWN RISK!

I guess it is to tell the people that it is a copy of the CD and not the real thing..because of course he can't put that it is a copy in the Ebay ad because it will then get pulled from Ebay and he won't make a killing on a copy of a CD....... but of course, people out there will not ask questions and just bid away not knowing what it is.  They will get it and be unhappy and complain and leave negative feedback and then the seller will come back and say... "Well, I stated in the auction to contact me and I would have told you it was a copy"... blah, blah, blah.  I see it time and time again.

Don't ask me why I posted this, It was just standing out in my head about faek auctions and deceptive descriptions, etc.... so I thought I would post it here.

I asked him what the "Important Information" was and here is what I got back:

HI, THIS SMOKEY & THE BANDIT CD IS A 100% EXACT CD-R COMPUTER COPY OF AN ORIGINAL FAN CLUB VERSION CD. THE SOUND QUALITY IS IDENTICAL TO THE ORIGINAL CD.

THE CD WILL COME IN EITHER A PLASTIC CASE OR PAPER SLEEVE.
