$15 Eyeglasses?
« on: May 06, 2011, 09:14:38 AM »
I finally broke down and went to get a new eye wear prescription.
I tend to break lots of eye wear, and I'm tired of paying $200 for a pair of glasses.
I went to America's best and got a free eye exam and 2 pairs of glasses for $75 including tax.
I then ran into this review....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r5199q-3-3o

I'll let you guys know what happens. 8)

I heard that Wallmart sends all their eyeglass work to China.  We don't do anything here in the U.S. anymore.

That's a good review. I listen to Atlanta talk radio most of the day, and our local consumer help show host, Clark Howard, who's probably syndicated elsewhere as well, loves his Zenni's and the price, so he recommends them too. He also said what the youtube guy said, don't expect any customer support, but the product is excellent for the price.

I use $39dollarglasses.com for me and my family.  The only bad is that you still need to have an exam if you need a new prescription.  My wife went in for a checkup and they said she needed glasses.  They suckered her for over $500!!!!!!  Boy was I pissed!!!!!  Then again, she let me buy another bird :)

I've used "GlassesUsa.com" twice so far and I'm very pleased. First pair was about 79 bucks delivered. Next two pairs were more but I went with transitions and a "free" second frame with sunlenses. Still about 150 delivered.
Funny name though...they all came from Isreal..
