The search function here seems to be extremely specific..

Many forums "advertise" searching with google.  It is not that hard even if there is not a search bar on here for it.

All you do is type in: "(subject your searching for) site:http://www.78ta.com/smf/index.php" into google.

Google will display only results from the forum here at 78 T/A.  It may bring up some older posts in a more primitive format but the information is still there and I have found it to be a little more convenient than the default search engine (no offense  :P)  You could make it very easy if you keep the website address on a macro, or on your clipboard.

I feel like I make quite a few posts/new topics here but I spend a lot of time online and the more I read, the more I learn, but the more I have questions I have so I'm going to cut back and bringing up more results from a search helps.

Here are a couple examples:

A search for "Shaker"
http://www.google.com/#q=shaker+site:http://www.78ta.com/smf/index.php&hl=en&prmd=ivnsb&ei=iECcTcXcKIS2twezh_2yBw&start=60&sa=N&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.&fp=6db1cd05180a8c22

Or a more specific search for "Rear end gear ratio"
http://www.google.com/#sclient=psy&hl=en&q=rear+end+gear+ratio+site:http%3A%2F%2Fwww.78ta.com%2Fsmf%2Findex.php&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq=&pbx=1&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.&fp=6db1cd05180a8c22

As you can see it is pretty specific but still displays more than 400 results!  So give this a shot next time you cant find something right away.
