I am sorry guys, is there a way I can post all of my questions and pics? I do not want to streach this thread out more than it should. By the way Dave, I understand I am a collecting goof myself, you just have to look at it and say do I need it, and can I live with out it? If the answers are yes and then no, you know what you have to do, if not there will always be another that fits your bill even more.
I am looking for a donor or a few parts actually ....need the air conditioning system .... some one cut it out. You know when you get old its not a luxury... its a necessity. I am picking out the stereo system in the next few days. Do you think I should go old school like it was originally and put an underdash Cassette like he did? or just go freakin crazy and make it rock. While the interior is out, there will be big time speaker etc. upgrades.

RE: Yes you can start your own thread in the restoration section. We just went through the air thing with joes 1979 gold trans am,his was a non a/c car,non power windows,no tilt wheel,next is 4/wheel disc brakes.  P.S power trunk also.

mewchat...don't worry about stretching out the length of this post.  That has already happened so no need to worry about that.  I just need to post some new pics of my car.

I would say go with a modern stereo in the car.  The aftermarket models (vintage style) lack the quality that you get in up-to-date modern car stereos.  I went that route with my custom autosound stereo because I didn't want to cut the dash and I'm not very satisfied when I compare to what I have experienced for the same price.  I feel that my amp/speaker (fosgate amp/infinity 6x9's) setup is not being used to it's full potential with my custom autosound unit.
