I'm getting ready to take out the rusty core support I have. It's coming out to aid in the removal of the engine in a few weeks. The nose was removed last week and all the stuff connected to the support has been removed. I just got to disconnect it from the frame and fenders. I have the car on jack stands with the front wheels removed. I have a piece of 2x6 between the stand and the main portion of the frame under the passenger area. I'm really nervous about removing it and the frame twisting a little after it's gone. Do I have anything to worry about? Should I have any more support under the front? I'm thinking that I'll be ok with the large cross member these cars have. Any advice since this is the 1st MAJOR fix on this car?
