1981 se

Looking at a 1981 se 301 car.  Car is complete and pretty solid. Some rust on the fenders but the underneath is clean. Been sitting for 7 years and dont know how it runs. He asked me for a price of what I thought it was worth. I know pics are a must but they are on my phone and I will try to get them on here. What do you all think? It is complete and unmolested save for the stereo and speakers. Uncut dash and int. is nice.

I bought a 301 Shaker Y84 S/E 2 years ago for $2500. Been sitting for 6 years but ran/drove. motor was rebuilt before parked. I rebuilt carb and transmission pan gasket replaced. I went through the brakes, tires, hoses etc... then put a cheap paint job on it and freshened up the interior with new paint.

However, the car is not worth more than I have in it now, about 6K.  There is a 55,000 mile survivor I saw for $12,500 and is near mint. I would go that route before trying to "restore" mine. Just can't fix them for less than that.
