400 stroker build 78 481988 block (X7) with 6X-4 heads

want to keep this stock looking , using  Eagle kit, ARP studs on bottom end. Looking for a roller cam to use? Going into 78 Y88 TA

The main question is "do you want a lopey or smooth idle?"- that will dictate what type of cam to use. Intended use is also important- cruising, street/strip, road racing, drag? There are so many roller cam profiles out there now you have to choose wisely.

In the exhaust dept., ditch the logs and use RARE RA III-style exhaust manifolds and a 2 1/2" x-pipe system with dual mufflers.

We are going for a street cruzer, I am looking at CC XE, The plan was to get Ram air 3 manifolds as well

The Comp Cams XR 288- HR is a good cam to use in a 400/461 stroker with 9.6-9.8:1 SCR. Just keep in mind most 110 LSA cams don't have vacuum like the factory 114-116 LSA cams.
