I can't seem to decipher my cowl tag. I think it is a Y-88 but can't be sure of this. Can anyone help me with this?

RENOVATIONS:
What does your cowl tag state?
The Y88 code is not always stamped on the cowl tag.

budman8:
It has the color code and the car has all the features of a Y-88 such as all the gold emblems and gold column and steering wheel. All the pin striping  fisher T-tops with the black around the tops edges.

Macdave:
For anyone reading this now or later. Some things to look for other than the code 50 paint as it was used for many other non-Y88 cars. The steering column will be tan on the Y88s and black on the regular cars. The dash, grilles and emblems will be gold on the Y88. The sail panels of the std gold cars have a chrome metal bird and the Y88s have decals. These things can be changed so the best bet is to either find the build sheet of get the PHS invoice copy. Before one spends the $$ thinking it is a Y88 (if that is what you are looking for), you should get the proof. Also, all Y88s from the Norwood Ohio plant state Y88 on the Cowl tag. The Van Nuys cars do not have this.
