1977 trans am se question

Sorry to ask this it probally a dumb question but how do you tell if a 77 ta is a real se see my car has the hurst t-tops and black interior and gold dash bezel and well its black and gold it dont really matter to me just wondering thanks for help

and sorry for the NEWBIE questions  :-[

2 ways.
Either pull the back seat, and see if the build sheet is in it, or buy the PHS documents for it.

The build sheet can also be under a front seat, or on top of the gas tank.  Gas tank seems to be the most typical place.
