That's right. Buy the lowest octane gas that will not cause pinging or deiseling(deiseling is when the engine runs on after you turn it off). For example, if your Danish 92 octane will run without pinging, use it. Buying a higher octane fuel for a car that will run without pinging on a lower octane fuel is a waste of money. It will not run any better with the higher octane fuel because it doesn't need it.
So, I would try some of your 92 octane and see how it runs and listen for pinging when accelerating hard. If you hear pinging, then try your 95 octane and do the same thing, until you find the lowest octane fuel that runs without pinging.
What do you mean by pinging? Actually when I accelerate hard, I once a while can hear a loud "bang" sound from the engine room. Im not sure if its a vaccum problem or its the carb. But now that you guys mention "pinging" it could be that? I just dont know what pinging means
