Front Floor Pan Braces?
« on: October 06, 2016, 02:15:25 PM »
I'm in the middle of doing floors on my 1979 Trans Am right now, starting with the passenger side. As I was trimming away the rotted floor pans, I noticed that there's an additional floor brace coming down from the toe pan that's rotted pretty badly. You can sorta see it in the attached picture.

It's the rusty chunk of floor to the right of the header collector and frame rail.

Do they make a replacement for this on the aftermarket, or am I on my own with fabricating it? If I have to make the thing, does anyone know what gauge sheet metal it is, or if it's the same as a standard floor pan? Thanks in advance!

Dear Not A TA,
This is Tin Indian's wife. Would you please stop posting pictures of your car? Especially ones with er, ummm, sidepipes. I'm dizzy already and have to get up early in the morning.  :-X
