Red springs and lifted car?

I noticed today while I was fighting with my steering box that my springs were red. My car has been lifted by the previous owner and big fender flares bondoed into the body and big wide tires on the back. I figured they just added those blocks to lift it but they must have changed springs since they're shiny red. Does anybody know what kind of springs these are and since i plan to drop the ride height back down to factory when I have it painted and use a set of the 17 inch snowflakes what kind of springs do i need to replace them with ? just factory replacements? thanks

Forgot to mention car is a 80 that came with a 301 and now has a 400 if that makes a difference.
