Help with accessory mounting.
« on: September 16, 2011, 09:19:52 PM »
Looking to get my motor installed today..need some help with the accessory mounting.
I have a ton of extra bracketry from multiple motors and would like some help/photos of the different arrangements of the power steering and alternator mounting.
I'm using my a/c pulley.
Need to have everything ready to go by noon when help arrives.
I need to mount my oil filter housing, accessories and the bellhousing/clutch assembly.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks.

The bracket system is really, really simple and straight forwards. They only line up one way. The alternator and P/S brackets are grouped into one of the driver's side which include's the cylinderhead adjuster bracket with a pivot, a through bolt that goes in the front of the P/S and alternator bracket and through the lower hole of the alternator it self with a spacer behind the alternator to get the proper alignment (it's a short spacer, about 3-4") and of course, the half moon one bolts onto the water pump it self with two bolts.

Thanks.
I have a ton of bracketry as the previous owner had lots of parts chromed.
I was wondering if all setups were mostly the same.
Much appreciated.
