Reverse lights switch override
« on: August 17, 2018, 12:22:17 PM »
Hello everyone,
I am new to this forum, so I'm going to keep this quick.
I got a 79 TA and I need to override my reverse light switch. I've seen a similar post on this topic but it never gave me a straight answer. I've seen a video on YouTube where someone uses a small limit switch and fastens it to the the center console so that when the shifter is in reverse, it flips the switch. Is this the best way of doing this?
I do not have the linkage because I have headers.

Auto or Manual? It's common in countries that are RHD since you can't use existing factory rods for reverse lockout and lights.

Here is the Shiftworks kit I've used to modify a spare shifter for my 200-4R, a neater version of what I already had on my car.

Okay, cool, I got this. I put it in the car and everything but now I need to splice it into the ignition cable....which is where/what color?
