Isn't there a tab on the back of the horn button?

That is a trick question.  First of all, there is no wire to the horn in the steering column.  The green wire from the steering column goes to the horn relay.  That green wire is part of the directional signal and hazard flasher wire assembly.  So, it's not something that has to be connected.  If you've got a loose wire for some reason, you ought to change the turn signal and hazard flasher assembly.

You almost had me there for a second.

Are you talking about the little 4 - 6" (or so) long wire that goes from the horn button to the contact piece above the turn signal switch?

There should be a tab on the back of the horn button itself (can't see it in that pic) near the back side of the emblem. Look up inside the hole in the center in the pic.

Ok, scratch that. I just found a pic of the back side of the button itself. But there is a tab somewhere there for the wire to connect. That wire is the ground for the horn relay and it completes the circuit through the horn button. So it has to be there somewhere. lol It's just really hard to see in that pic.

Wait a minute! Do the T/A wheels use the metal pin rather than the wire?

(I hate when I think of things like this late like this. :-\ lol)

You're on your own.  It's not a stock wheel/column combination.  Stock column has a button as part of the turn signal assembly.

It wasn't a stock wheel. It is now. Do you (or anyone) have a pic of the button for the horn on the t/s assy?

Yeah I know. I tend to do that when I think of something after I send a reply. I guess I could edit it, but I don't always think of it. ::)

Are you switching back to a stock column/wheel setup?  If so, there isn't a special wire for the horn.  You should have a button on the white turn signal switch.  That's for the horn.  I believe the way it works is when the horn bezel (on the wheel with the firebird emblem) is depressed it pushes on the cam which depresses the horn button which is part of the turn signal switch.
