Title: '75 Bird body numbers
Post by: chieftain on September 04, 2011, 01:43:43 PM
I'm new to Firebirds so I don't have a clue for my car, a '75. I saw them on the top of  radiator core supports of '79's at the Nationals but on mine, none are present  on the core support  (or at least on top) Any numbers on the back end of the car also? Obviously, they would match the last 6 digits of the VIN. My drivers door tag is present and correct but don't know where to look for the others.

the only other vin is on the firewall ( that I know of )    your core support , fenders, hood, deck lid and doors are only dated. no vin.

Agreed....the door VIN you mention is just on the decal inside the door(as long as the door hasn't been swapped out for another).
As Doug mentioned, all other body/frame parts are numbered but do not correlate directly to the VIN.

Your core support should have a number on the top-side (usually left side) but a missing stamp (or differently located) isn't unusual for a car made in the '70's ;)
