My 1980 T/A (COMPLETED)
« on: June 07, 2009, 09:44:58 AM »
Here is the 1980 T/A that I bought about 8 months ago. I am restoring it just because. No rust, perfect interior. Just a few dings that I can't live with. Besides I own a restoration business and I want my car to look great at the shows and show my work (calling card). I am replacing the 301 with a 76 T/A 400 with mild build. Under the hood will be basecoat/clearcoat black and all stainless body bolts. New suspension etc.  All of the panels that are off of the car in the photo have been blasted, body work done and painted. I should have it done by winter.

Are you going to keep it the same color?  I am a huge fan of the white car and blue bird!  If you can't tell!  :)

We all can't wait to see more pictures!

Yes it is going back white, but I haven't decided if I am going to put the blue bird back on or do something different (my wife likes the 70's stripe up the hood, roof and trunk in blue). Also the picture was taken in my garage not the shop. I will post more as I procede. Thanks for the compliments.

Here are a couple of more pics. I have decided to forgo the hood bird and paint the 70's 2 tone blue and black stripe on the car. So far I have painted the trunk and hood scoop. The hood is next.

Well I have been busy at the shop restoration shop(not my car) so I havent done anything on the T/A in weeks. But I did manage to paint the hood this week. Plan on bring the car to the shop next week to tear down the suspension.

Sharp looking - can't wait to see it all put together and finished up!

What type of door cover do you have over your garage entrance in the first pic?
