Not.
Less body flex
fewer leaks
Less heat
Less maintenance

Having a t top car I say none, they rattle, leak, weatherstripping issues, extra sun coming in the interior so more fading, no where to store them when off, sun always beating on your face, more expensive trim to go bad on the interior, drips are expensive if you can find them, nOS handles are $150 ea and the plastic trim is $200 a set, gold and silver tops-wear marks in the tint, if you get them, usually swapped out for the common gray tops.  you never get the bags, so there's a hondo and up, to $350 for a mint set.  ( tops are worth more when sold w/ the bags ;))I found a nOS set but I was lucky, if their hurst, a whole new can of worms with those,   Just say no to t tops.

I"ve owned both and being from California, I must go with T-tops!  Great for summer nights cruising.  Goes into the garage so fading not much of an issue.

T Tops!

Most of the guys asking me for 2nd Gen Trans Am's want T Tops. T Top's command a higher market value than a coupe. If there is a concern about leaks, how much time is the T/A going to be outside in the rain anyway? Incidentally, we have a couple of Fisher T Top 2nd gen T/A's stored outside with no leak issues from rain.  The 76 - to early 78 Hurst T Tops are the major offenders...

I recommend staying away from the aftermarket T Tops such as Cars and Concepts and American if you are concerned about top collector value.  There is a limited marked for T/A's with C & C tops.
