Post by: 79Bird on May 02, 2011, 06:38:13 PM
Its a 1979 Trans am 6.6 403 olds , just hit 40k original miles , everything is original , original paint bird and interior and motor. it has original wheels and tires the big tires. original spare and jack has never been moved in the trunk. automatic , paint is great except for a few small scuffs and one hairline scratch in passenger door. its been sitting in a garage for 25 years. any idea what its worth? an honor to say shes my first car :) (im only 17) http://twitpic.com/4lwdr1 theres a link to a few pictures of the body and inside , once again its ALL ORIGINAL AND  BODY , PAINT , INTERIOR AND MOTOR IS IN AMAZING CONDITION http://twitpic.com/4lwdr1 thanks guys

Nice 79! You're a lucky guy. I have one just like it, except not in nearly as good condition. I can't say what it's worth, but with only 40K miles and all original, it should be pretty valuable. I'd have to look at others for sale that are in similar condition and see what the sellers are asking.
It looks like yours might have the WS6 handling option too, since it has 8" wide Snowflakes. Does it have rear disc brakes?

really sharp car. I must say I'm partial to the gold birds. It would be even sweeter if I got my car when I was 17 .....

She is sweet!!!!

If you love Your T/A --- it's worth more than dollar amounts.

Did someone in your family pass the T/A on to you?

Well recently I've seen totally restored SE's on the Mecum auctions going for about 15K. That being said, I agree with 4speed. Yours is original..not restored. should get you a few "K" more than a restored T/A.

I had a t-top version, same drivetrain and colors with 101,000 miles but no WS6. Sold it for $11K and new owner installed new seat covers and head liner and last I heard was asking $12K. I think your good at high teens to $20K
