Topic: Paint: Air Breather/Cleaner

Has anyone restored their air cleaner and if so, know what the correct paint type/code is?  I need to repaint mine since having it soda blasted; it is currently primed and off the car (sitting in the house out of the moisture).

semi gloss looks good & thats how i did mine, but i think originally they were a gloss black, or at least glossier than todays standard semi gloss or satin shades.

the insides of original air cleaners that aren't faded like the outside have all looked gloss black to me.

So is this as simple as just going out and buying a couple of cans of spray paint or is that not going to look right?

I think you can do a nice looking job that way.
I think it would look a little nicer if you could spray it out with some automotive paint and a spray gun though.
