Seems like a pretty reasonable price.

I have a rear set but I am sending them to the Hitman becasue they have good foam on them and he is going to use them as a template. Sorry

Oh no prob! I was just commenting that the price seemed right if anybody was looking for a set. I'm toying with the idea of a set of Recaros for my car, but interior work is a LONG way down my to do list. It will be a year or two before I'm ready for heavy duty interior work ;D

pretty sure the 3rd gen years are 83-85.  the 84 15th anniv t/a had them in a oyster leather color,  the 83 daytona 500 pace car had them  & there were many black & gold 83-85 t/a's called recaro trans ams.  the seats in the mustang pace car & the 3rd gen t/a's are all the same model of seat,  just different covers.  i forgot the model number or name of the seat though.... i think it was something like the R-500 or some designation like that.

those black leather ones would be nice!

Wonder how hard it would be to get those shipped out of Canada to the US

speaking from experience,  the size of the box required to ship these seats will exceed the usps max dimensions for international shipping,  they are alsmot too large to ship domesticallly via standard shipping.  obviously freight shipping would work but not sure how that would work internationally.

domestically shipping,  i have to get fancy & break down the seats,  removing the backs from the bottom allows the dimensions to be a little more reasonable.

I shipped a 400 block to Canada a few years back, it wasn't that bad. If someone was looking for Recaro's for their Nascar (to be honest, if I wasn't doing a Nascar and just wanted Rec's I'd look for for something close, I saw some that came out of a Volvo (I think) that we're real close, even had the netting), that's a heck of a buy if you could get the seller to work with you and didn't cost over $500 to ship, along with the rear seat someone posted (looks like the embroidy is in good shape), I had someone offer me $2500 for mine a while back, they are hard to find.
Btw-those are my seats in an earlier post, they are high grade vinyl, and with the perforated they look like leather, but I don't trip when it starts to rain (I never have my T-tops on/with me). A buddy recovered them for me and tried to talk me out of the Perf. in the middle, but once done, he was glad I didn't listen to him.

Thanks for use of the pic ;)
I recalled they were from an '81 NASCAR that was re-painted black but couldn't recall your TAC username to give you credit.

This guy still has them, I contacted him about them, but the wife told I wasn't interested in them until September sometime...who am I to argue...the bills are getting paid ;D

Wish I hadn't let the other set slip through my fingers!!!!!
I'm still bitter about it!!!  :(
