gauge cluster ground
« on: October 04, 2011, 06:56:39 PM »
When I plug the wiring harness into the gauge cluster there is and electrical spark off the cluster housing  when it touches any metal, does that mean that there is an ground in the printed circuit ?

there is a ground in the factory circuit... what metal are you touching, as the dash is fiberglass with a vinyl overlay... the only thing that is metal that touches it is the factory headlight ground connector... sometimes the factory printed circuit will have breaks in it.... if thats the case check out Fbodywarehouse for a new replacement....

It arced off of the ground wire so you think it is in the printed circuit? I've tried two different used ones they both may be bad.
