Title: trans am reaper
Post by: ShakerBreaker on April 12, 2011, 08:07:37 PM
Let me put this out here as straight forward as I can. I pull no punches when it comes to parts and cars in general. .
I have dealt with Bob several times. I have sent many Trans Am people Bob's way, because I knew he would treat each person right.
I have bought parts from Bob, that others would have have tried to sell for 100's of dollars more. I got to know Bob personally and spent the better part of 6-7 hours with Bob finding the parts "I" wanted. Get it? Parts "I Wanted"--- not just what was in front of us. We traveled around---- back and forth until I had my truck loaded with what "I Wanted". This was in the fall of 2010.
Bob's title of 'trans am reaper' is just that----a title. Not the person.
Today---- I  received a part from Bob. A part I have been wanting for some time now. I took Bob's word on the part (without even seeing a photo). I didn't need a photo. To me---Bob's word is gold (Y88 GOLD).
Bob----If you are reading this-----Thank you from the bottom of my heart. This peice is top shelf quality and no games.
Thank You So Much Brother.

Wow, I thought that was going to end badly for some reason. Good to know, I just contacted him to find me a carb I've been looking for.

I've come to know him on Feebay and he always sent my top notch quality parts..
He will definitely bend over backwards to help a fellow TA member...

I have talked with Bob over the phone the other day.  Certainly seems to be a knowledgeable person in the TA field.  Seems to be a great person to deal with over the phone.

As of yet I have not bought parts from him.  He is still trying to locate what I need.  If & when he comes through I will be driving to Chicago from WV for the parts.  That is how much faith I have in his word.

I will add to this post once I have parts in hand.

I also bought some NOS flares from him a little while back. I got a good price, the parts were packed well and shipped quickly. I would surely buy from him again.

Only bought pillar panels from him (I think they were used...couldn't even tell).  Packed up superb, and shipped quick at a good price.  Will get more when I can.

Sent the Reaper a little cash - 2 days later I have a very good condition chrome bezel installed on my Bird, with the black trim rings- for under a hunny- can only offer praise and will go Reaper for all my parts first

Yep. Black with switch. Those things used to be everywhere. Sort of dried up overnight.

I bought an OER a few weeks ago. I guess its not bad but the grain appears to be different to me. Oh well! If u see something give me a shout.

I put the signal up in the sky, and the trans am reaper answered the call for help.....

Taking the time to find a small part I needed (jack retainer bracket & nut) and getting it to me quickly so I can complete another check on the list of things to finish on my Trans Am. That's service!

Thanks Bobby - I look forward to doing more business with you again.
Don't fear the reaper people - call him!

I can't say enough about Bobby K!  He sent me some rear window trim and it showed up in one piece and it was great looking trim!!!!  I also just called him cause Oreilly's ordered me the wrong power steering pump.  My pully wouldn't fit what they ordered for me.  Mine has the outside thread for the pully and a notch in the pulley.  The one they sent me needs a bolt to go down the middle to hold the pulley on.  And of course it will take days to re-order the correct pump. Tried Autozone and Advanced same story nothing in their warehouse.   My car is dead in the water right now.  I called Bobby, he is overnighting me everything I need.  He's a lifesaver!!!!

The reaper strikes again. Ordered some small parts from Bobby. Emblems, seatbealt guides, and some other thing. All came fast and well packed. All was just like he said. If he said it was "sweet" you got a sweet looking part. Nice to be able to keep the T/A as close to original as I can. Thanks to guys like him it is possible. "Keep Your GM All GM" not china plastic junk. Thanks BK

Title: reaper is the man
Post by: Squirrel on October 11, 2011, 08:29:14 PM
the reaper was the only one to reply to my thread and get me the part i needed to get my ta back on the road.  he was concerned with what caused my original part to go bad so he did me a major solid.

here is what i ordered and paid for
(http://i995.photobucket.com/albums/af80/dgabel7/1979%20Nocturne%20Blue%20TA/g022.jpg)

here is what he sent me so i can replace everything on that side to fix the problem, no extra charge, just sent it all
(http://i995.photobucket.com/albums/af80/dgabel7/1979%20Nocturne%20Blue%20TA/g023.jpg)

i am shocked and moved by your concern for what caused my problem to begin with, so much that you would send me all these parts and only charge me for what we originally agreed to in picture one.  i owe you big time and will look your way first when in need.  thanks sir!!!

That's awesome. Truly nice.

What kind of motor do you have? Did it come with screw-in studs from the factory?
Title: Re: reaper is the man

All Pontiac V8s after 1967 had screw in studs from the factory if I'm not mistaken.

Post by: rkellerjr on October 12, 2011, 04:12:55 PM
Nope, they were not screw studs, they were pressed in.

Just had to throw it out there. I've been buying used parts from Bobby and have nothing but positive results. I'm in California and he's in Illinois but seems like he's down the street. Parts are shipped promptly and arrive and as described by Bobby.

Looking forward to continued business with the Reaper. Jeff

Just got a cigerette lighter in the mail yesterday from Bobby, all I  can say is holy crap. My jaw dropped, he said dang near NOS and he was not kidding the element is used but There is no wear marks on it and not even a faded spot in the paint. No chips, no cracks, no nothing. Bobby is truly a man of his word and I will be dealing with him for parts in the future.

Who would've really thought that after all this time we'd still be posting here about "Ol Reaper" man. Back before the explosion Bobby and I were in discussion about a PDL Switch and some Solenoids. Once the fallout settled reaper was nowhere to be found. I had kind of written off the parts thinking that was the end of that!

Well lemme tell ya was I wrong. After a few days in SC I returned home to find a box on my desk. FROM BOBBY! It was my switch. There was a business card and some peanuts...thats it. No bill. Nothing else. After some probing found a mole ( or Turd...lol) had given up my info so Bobby could get my parts to me. I'm thrilled with the parts. They look super nice and will be going in my car asap. If anyone sees/talks to Bobby tell him I know what I owe him and the check will be in the mail.

Don't fear the Reaper! Need more cowbell!

He's sending me pics of his "mint silver t-tops" wonder if they could be bartered for a get out of jail free card.  It takes a dedicated TA lover to continue to help people with their cars while not being able to deal directly with them in some cases.  That's true character for you!

my vote is don't fear the reaper....bring him back
Title: Re: trans am reaper

I gave him a second chance on here and he squandered it away. The second part of this post (which was merged from another topic) was about voting if you "like" the Reaper. This is not a vote to bring him back because I will not count the ballots for that, end of story.
