trans am wagon

I got this picture from a friend at a ford dealership.Thought it was interesting picture was taken in the early 80's in Mackinaw City
at a car show.Has anyone seen it before or know anything about it.

yep its the k body....pontiacs attempt at a station wagon with some not so kickass looks.....they made one in 79, a 3rd gen and then a 4th gen....and the 4th gen is actually up for sale at an auction that i forget the name of...but its called the hurst hauler.....anyway the 3rd gen was at the nationals last year and who knows if it will be back this year ?

That was a concept (one of two I think) built in '77 for the '78 model year. (If I remember correctly.) Also called the Kammback.

The hatches used to convert the 3rd and 4th gen cars were available from the aftermarket for awhile. Not sure if they still are.
