MP3 Help
« on: December 18, 2006, 04:41:25 PM »
So lately I've been thinking about getting an MP3 player because I can't stand that my husband downloads music illegally. Plus the quality of music you download is unpredictable which drives me crazy.  Which player do you prefer? Also which docking system do you prefer? We'll be listening to it in the car mostly and that's why I ask. How is the sound quality through car speakers? I know it won't sound as good as a store bought cd. Thanks for the help!

I have an IPOD like 99% of the world.

I had the larger one.. but acutally didn't use it so I now have a Nano to run with.

If you are getting it for a car.. get the 20/30GB one.. you want to have options.. and that holds about 6000 songs.

I just play it via Itunes on my pc... not in the car anymore since I sold the VW. But don't get that wireless thing.. THEY STINK! You need to find a radio station that is not transmitting to use it. And the signals are pretty rough. You also have to tune BOTH the ipod and the radio... not easy for a person driving. Get something that is an actual hookup to the car and stereo system.

Hope that helps a little.

Get This
It's the Zen Vision M.
From Creative Labs.
Plays music, movies, pictures, FM radio, personal memos, etc.
The little box is an FM transmitter lets you play it on any FM radio,
even in the Trans Am with an analog radio.
Best thing I ever got.
It's about $250.00 now, was $300.00 when i got it.

Hey Tony, Nice player. i've been looking at the ones from Creative Labs and drooling. How many GIGS and how long to upload a full movie?

Right now I have the sickly lil shuffle 512    and it really does a good job for me as far as music goes. I'll jam it full of songs and play em' into the ground for a week or two and then load it up again.

What is the menu like on your player? Is it easy to navigate through your songs? Can you group them or do they just file in alphabetical order?

Scotti, Sorry to hog your post.

Tin
30 gigs.
Yes and yes and yes.
Super easy to use grouping, random, alphabet, etc.
Uploads in seconds.
Movies have to be formatted on the computer first.
That is where you lose the time, not going to the ZEN.
Get it you wont be sorry. It's the best thing I've gotten
in a long time.
Trust me.
