Has anyone ever thought of a creating a demographic map of the 78TA members.  It could be done just by a count or add more specific info such as screen names or actual contact info on a volunteer basis.   The thread "Where are you from? Introduce yourself!" makes me think of what a valuable resource that could turn out to be.   I am not the programming genius so I personally have no idea how.  If something like this already exsist, then I apologize in advance.

Somebody had something like that set up with a site called "frrapper" or something like that.  It was about 14-16 months ago.  A lot of people from 78TA.com/TAC had given their locations -- it showed a map that had "push pins" for each registered member, and if you rolled over the pin with the cursur it would give their screen ID.  Dunno what happened to it -- can't find the bookmark at the moment, but maybe somebody else can find theirs.  It also had a chat room that a few of us used a couplle of times before Brett got his going here. :-\

Yeah, I have thought about doing that, but I do not like when things are out of my control like that.  I would rather create something in house (like the Gallery) so that I have control over it.  I mean if Frapper ever went down and lost everything or went out of business, then all of that would be lost.  So, I am searching for something to be able to install on my servers so that I have full control over it.

Am I a control freak in that regard?

I knew I was on one those maps. Thanks Scotti.

Hitman... I agree with you. If this were my site, I'd want total control too. A lot less headaches. IMHO.
