Topic: Help with tach wire

I have a 76 Trans Am that I’m slowly putting together. I bought it from a guy who saved it from a barn. The previous owners put a 454 in it and hacked the wires up. I have it almost back together, but I can’t figure out which color wire runs from HEI dist to tach. I have a 78 that I’ve found most of my answers from but the tach wiring are different. I have a service book for a 77 and it doesn’t show the tach wire. Any help would be appreciated

On most later models it's a very simple harness. A Pink/Black wire comes off the A/C Heater 25A fuse terminal, and the second line which could be plain orange or white, runs to the tach. Those 2 wires plug into the gauge rear.
