I think he's saying that all the owners  are saying they plan on restoring the cars sitting in the field and he would like to get his hands on at least one to restore hiself....this is a common problem when you come across these backyard finds... people are deeply emotionally attached and will not let go of them. I have seen cases they let them rust so bad one would need a tetnus shot just looking at it.

Good luck in finding your project... never give up.

We have ALL heard this line of crap before.  I always think... if your going to restore it then do it, don't just leave it sit there and rot.  >:(

I Agree , sad to see any classic car sit and rot away, until it's to late to restore them.

It's all good.. Just makes the ones that aren't sitting out rotting in a field worth that much more

If you took care of it in the first place you would not have to restore it.
Atleast park it on cement and cover it.

i bought one that was at a "junkyard" called dirty burchs... name is pretty self explanitory and the place lives up to it... sad thing is the place just caught on fire awhile back, and a LOT of old rare cars were demolished..... one of em was an old lincoln zephyr, the only ford I really really want!

My brother is a meter reader for the gas utility and sees lots of (yes, they're still out there!) long dormant classic cars and motorcycles in side and back yards . Even though he's not supposed to ask about them, he will ask whoever he sees if it's for sale and the answer is always "not for sale" or "I'm going to fix it up". Yah right...
