HELP! 350 Nodular Crank
« on: October 11, 2011, 02:57:24 PM »
I have a 72 350 Olds motor I was going to take to the scrapyard.  They require you to take off the oilpan, and upon doing this I am tempted to keep the Nodular iron crank for my 403.  Is this worth the trouble as I dont know yet if the 403 needs rebuilding, but in the future if it does how much modification is needed to switch the 350 crank over to the 403.  Any experience or knowledgable advice is greatly appreciated!

not worth it really... the only crank worth anything is the 330 crank which is a forged steel crank.... in my opinion really

All the research I did said the crank was a close second to that exact crank you are speaking of, so I pulled it in case my windowed main crank ever gives me problems... Thx for the input!  Moderators you may remove this thread.

I may want it for my wifes 68 bird.   but I dont know what crank is in her 350.

what heads are on it?   if mine is just a cast crank the N cranks is better.

never mind ,  didnt read the word Olds 350.
