Title: 1979 trans am 403 olds 4spd ?

this cant be a factory 4spd car.

 this guy is funny, he swares he has a 1 of a kind 403 olds factory 4spd.  I did forget that his post on C.L. did not say the vin was a k9 sorry my bad.

What's the fifth digit of the VIN? If it is a Z it could be (would have been) an original 4 speed.  They had some 301 4 speeds in 79 as well, those were even more rare.

I know when i called and got the vin # from him  it came up as a k9 wich is 403 olds.the ad says its a 73 400 motor your are correct.

Well if its an original 403 car, then no, it couldn't be a factory 4 speed. But someone could've added a new transmission
