I am new to the site so not sure how this works.  There is a battery cable and another connector with two leads that connects at the starter.  not the solenoid lead.  The connector with two wires is shorted to ground somewhere.  I have the Haynes manual 1970-1979 but it has no schematic for the 79.  Where do I start in trying to locate the short?  Where can I find a wiring diagram?

There is no 79 electrical diagram, use the 78.
