If the new ones are the repop version, I can completely understand why you are unhappy with them as they look nothing like they are supposed to.

Originals would look like this (image from the 78ta.com website)

Hitman, I've got a question... Okay, so you've explained to me before about how a lot of stuff is the same reproduction manufacturer for example PUI for interior stuff, but some places just sell them more expensively than others for example Year One vs you. So explain to me how you get yours to look so great compared to those crappy ones? I mean, what company makes each one?

Sometimes you can get specialty places to do stuff for you.  Sometimes there are small places out there that do stuff that people don't use and they are out of the way.  For example, people are always looking for 1977 door handle interior pulls.  Well, they are the same as the El Camino.  So you find a small little place that deals in El Camino parts and you have the exact same part for the Trans Am.  I still have some secrets out there.... not many left, but some.

In fact I do have a set of 1978 Grilles that are brand new reproduction for $249.  I have to go down and get them out and take photos.

Sorry for the quick pics here, but they are the 1978 ones brand new in the box.  I can get the 1977 ones brand new as well for the same price.
