«

Hello I'am having a problem with my volt gauge (79 ta volt gauge) When i turn the key on it reads 8 volts. I checked where it plugs it at and i'am getting 13 volts?? Also 13 volts at the batt. Also when i start the car up it stays at 8? Any way of checking the gauge? The gauge does move when i turn the key just not the right voltage. Thanks for any and all help!!!!

well you can troubleshoot by testing the volts at the wires that plug into the gauge, if they are right then you know its the gauge, if they are wrong trace it back...

Thats what i tried and i got 13 volts at the plug. I was hoping the gauge was either good or bad? What i mean is when i turn the key on the gauge moves but gives the wrong volts. I though if the gauge was bad it just wound'nt move anymore. Guess all be looking for a new gauge dang it! Thank you for the reply
