Electrical issue with wipers
« on: July 10, 2016, 11:10:28 AM »
I have 78 ta with no delay wipers. For some reason the fuse blew so I changed it and when I turned the key on it blew again. And the fuse fries big time! This is without even trying the switch. I did this twice with the same result. I pulled the switch out and it looked like it was hooked up and same with the plug going into the wiper motor. I am not very good with electrics so I thought maybe someone here might have some ideas.
I recently installed a Monster transmission lockup kit for the new 200r-4 transmission I put in but it did not require me to really mess with any electrical, just had to connect it with a fusible link to power with the key on. I did that to the main power at the box, think it was a pink wire. I grounded it to the ebrake bracket and it works perfect. Maybe some one can tell me how I could test with an ohm meter?
