Grills for my '78
« on: May 26, 2007, 10:24:34 PM »
Here are some BEFORE pics of the grills I'm putting on my '78.   The place that does the powder coating around here also does the re-chroming.  Is that a word? Re-chroming?   Any way, since the grills are plastic, they are harder to refurbish than metal.  I'm quoted a price of $150 to refurbish the pair.  Just the chrome.  I'll have to do the gold and the flat black.

Am I boring folks with these types of pics?  Should I be showing more of the car itself?  I just get fascinated with detail stuff........   :-\

Yeah, I guess they are teasers.   I don't have a lot to show yet.  Boxes of new parts.   I could post pics of the boxes of new parts I have that are waiting to be installed.............   ;D

Let us know how that "re-chroming" comes out.  They call it "vacuum metalizing" or something like that on plastic.
