can anyone tell me where the starter wire loom mounts on a 1979 10th anniversary 400 4 speed?...also have a blue, light blue and white wire coming from firewall behind brake booster and im not sure where it plugs into....thanks for the help

I not too sure about the 400 but on the 403 (if I understand your question) the loom runs through a metal tube which is bolted to the back of the cylinder head. The tube is about 1" in diameter and 3" long. I would assume the 400 would have a similar configuration.

yes that is what i am looking to figure out, i was thinking it mounted in the rear but was not sure, thank you very much i will be checking it out tomorrow...thanks again
