Chat and Java Installation
« on: March 28, 2007, 03:19:15 PM »
Well, I have the same problem that Milly (John) has had only I have it here at work.  Java tells me the application is installed and working properly however, when I go to the chat room it continues to tell me that Java needs to be installed.  I'll let you know if I figure out what the problem is.

It's a Java conspiracy I tell you!! ;) ;D

I still haven't figured it out. If I download Java anymore I'll have drain coffee out of my computer. ::)

I figured it out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For some odd reason my Verizon/MSN browser was not allowing the java to work. When I came to the site though my Windows internet browser the java went right through and I was able to join in the chat room. Of course there was NO ONE THERE!!!!!!!!!!! Such is my luck.... ::)

hehehe, I still haven't figured it out at work.  I'm thinking there might be some type of blocker.  I need to talk to my IT guy and ask him.  Not that I need to be chatting online while at work but... you never know.

Check your security settings, Rich....may be a firewall issue
