Sweet - you got the polished intake.  That'll look nice.

Total cost for the long block with engine upgrade was 2400, the intake was 360, the chrome parts was about 180, harmonic balancer was i believe 200 something, bought new pulleys which was almost 400, billet distributor was about 300 also, so all in all, so far i've got around 3700 in this engine... plus a 7 year 70,000 mile warranty

That looks pretty sweet!  I do have one question, though -- and I've been noticing this a lot recently -- why weren't the pressed-in/freeze plugs painted engine color? ??? ???

I really hate to point it out since its together already but I think you have a 6x4 (4 is 91 cc's) on one side and a 6x8 (8 is 98/101 cc's) on the other. Unless I'm seeing the right side picture wrong.

If you are looking at where it says GM 4  GM 8   I'm not sure what that is for but the stamp code is on the other side of the head, and both heads are stamped 8

Cool.. I thought they might be different since your dates were two years different and it would be better to know now.
The GM4 and GM8 tells you if its a 6x8 or 6x4 head, that's how you tell what cc version of 6x head you have, or at least that's my understanding anyway.

I'm not either, maybe someone in the know will chime in.    I like your cam choice.

Yeah, I'm hoping it will turn out great...
It should have a fair idle quality with lobe, it's recommended for mild bracket racing
