center caps won't fit over dust caps, suggestions?
« on: June 26, 2010, 02:45:42 PM »
I got my new wheels on, and tried putting the center caps in place.  The rear ones went on no problem, but the front ones don't seem to clear the dust caps.  It looks like the retaining clip is actually hitting the dust cap, but without the retaining clip, I'm afraid the caps will fall off.  Any suggestions?

I used a dremel tool to grind out the inner diameter.  Grind to the lip and you should be good to go.

Mine are also a lot shorter.  I got mine in the "help" section at Autozone.  I think they were $3.99 each, if you didn't want to cut the retaining ring of your new caps.
