Where does this go?

Was comeing home from work toady, and when I went over some RR tracks this bulb and wire came out from under the dash.  Does anyone know where it is supposed to be hooked up at and what its for?

the bulb go's in the dash cluster then the other end in your ash tray.   early fiber optic lighting
