78 Y88 interior colors

I just bought a 78 Y88 Gold Bird as a restoration project.  The TTops leak and its been sittin for about 5 years.. so the interior is shot.  What is the color name for the interior and the name of the color of the seats?  They are the stock cloth seats... but all the ones I've seen online look like a different color... and mine are so faded its hard to tell if the match.

The ones I've seen have been Camel Tan. I've heard that they could be ordered with other color interiors, but I'm not sure. My car was originally gold but it has red cloth. May or may not be the original interior. For that matter it may or may not be a Y88. I am waiting on delivery any time now and I gaurantee the cowl tag is going to be one of the first places I look. lol But anyway, Camel Tan is the color I think you're looking for.

Yes the interior color for Gold Y88's was camel tan.  Somewhere on the cowl data plate you should find code 62B1, or 62N1.  The interior cloth can be hard to find a good reproduction of.  PUI used to have a good match for it and then they had to change suppliers and the camel tan cloth they have now isn't as good.

Cool... and what is the name of the carpet color... its pretty far gone and discolored also.  AND, would it be Standard interior or Custom interior.  I have bucket seats in the back also, the column runs between them.  Isn't the Custom interior vynle? ... I got no clue.. i know alot about trans ams... but not that much!

If it's a Y88, I'm sure it's deluxe (custom) interior. Deluxe means the style, not the fabric/vinyl. Pix would help a lot...

Not necessarily, mine came with the standard interior.  However you did mention cloth seats and I believe those were custom interior only.  Carpet color would also be camel tan.

For example Camel Tan carpet is part# K22020 in the Classic Industries catalog.  It costs $109.

You can go to any pic hosting site like Photobucket.com and upload your pics there. Once you do you can just copy the "img" tag they give each pic and paste it into your posts here. Then PRESTO! your pics are shown.

the front seat bottom

Keep in mind, they are very worn and very dirty... dirt wont come out.
(thats why im replacong it)
