Topic: 78 Y88 interior colors

Are the Hobnail/ Lombardy delux cloth seat covers what a 78 Y88 came with off the line? I was talking to a friend, who knos just about everything about Trans Ams and he says they are on a 79 to 80.  I was looking at Hitmans seat covers and the ones that hes selling (Hobnail/Lombardy) that look like mine are for a 79 to 80.  I have the same foam shape, so they will work.  I like the way they look more than the solid tan.

The hobnail and Lombardy is for 1979 and 1980 only.  In 1978, it was just the Lombardy like this set:




And I do have a set of these in stock right now for $499.

The 1978 Y88 Could have come with Deluxe Cloth, Deluxe Vynil, or even Standard Vynil Interiors.  Deluxe was not a standard option on the Y88.  The only car that came standard with all of the goodies like deluxe interior, power windows, power locks, t-tops, etc. was the 1979 10th Anniversary Trans Ams and the 1980 and 1981 Pace Cars.  All other Special Editions could have come plain jane just like any other Trans Am.

Will the 79 Lombardy/Hobnail covers work on a 78 and do you have them in stock and/or get them?

yes, they will work, but they would not be the corret style for 1978.  I do not have a set of the 79 hobnail in stock, just the Lombardy.
