To polish or not to polish, that is the question?
« on: April 13, 2010, 12:02:20 PM »
Well, I picked up my motor this weekend. With it came a set of aluminum valve covers ( just a raw cast ). I spent about 25 minutes this AM ( without the correct supplies) polishing this spot. I think they arent too bad, and will be alot nicer when done. What are your opinions? Would you do it if it were you?

Polished always looks nice (for a short time after all that work).  I have started using black valve covers lately, as I am not one to sit and clean a motor since they never seem to stay clean.  I like to drive the car, not spend all my time cleaning it.

No they sell those stickers at uglymug.com.
Once they are done, I will only have to clean them once a year.
