B pillar window option
« on: March 05, 2012, 10:54:46 AM »
Good Morning!

I saw a 1974 firerbird formula pic that had an oval window in the b pillar, on both sides. I have never seen this and was wondering if this was some kind of home made addition (it didnt look like it) or whether this is some kind of option. It was right where you would find the small pheonix decal right behind the doors, between the door window and the rear window.. Has anyone ever seen this? I have searched for other pics of this but havent come across one yet.

I've only seen a couple like this and from what I understand it was added (for driver visibility to the rear) on export cars to certain countries

That's strange.
I have never seen such.
Looks like one of those added windows on like a 70's mural van.

Saw a few back in the day, a friend had a 72 Firebird with the oval opera window vs. the round one.
