Column wiring
« on: March 20, 2015, 02:51:42 AM »
Hello
I'm in the process of putting the cruise control back on the car.
I have the new lever, and  am wondering if there is a way to feed the wire in the column without taking the column out?   :-[

Also I have the new tilt lever, screw in type, is there a trick, because, it doesn't want to go all the way in.  ;D
Thanks for help

If it's just the wire from the cruise, you could run that without pulling the column.  You'd need to run something like a piano wire down and tape the cruise wire to it and pull it up.  I've done the entire wiring harness, but I had the column out.  But there's no reason you can't do it with the column in.  If you want the wire in the wire loom, you'll need to remove the four bolts that hold the loom to the column.
