1978 Trans Am To do list will post picture progress

Well after having my car on Craigslist for 2 weeks and all the lo balls and people who wanted to trade junk or not even show up to look at it I have decided to keep the car. ;D So now I have the paint I am going to just put the new Thrush Turbo exhaust system on it fix the speedo, put a new set of wheels when I get the money, take the B&M mega shifter out and replace with a stock one, the paint is white, doing a red stripe like the 1980 TA that was posted on here with the blue stripe, and uncover the interior after it was wrapped so the red interior will match the red stripe, have most the parts and will start on it as soon as possible but supposed to snow this week. :o

Car as of now

Sounds sweet, you should change out the shaker for a 78 shaker too. Just a suggestion, it is your TA.

78-81 shakers are the same, 77 had a smaller gap in the vent area, and from 76 back to some point they had the same design.  Which is the kind you have, here is a picture of my 79, and someone on google images 76 so you can see them side to side.

Never noticed that before pretty sure the other one I have is a 78-81 shaker. Wasnt the 77 shaker a low rise shaker though it seems as if the 77 shakers are lower than all the others.

Would get rid of it but want to keep it I want to build a drag car eventually. Probably a TA or something odd like a Datsun Pick up just something that would look weird like a 59 el camino

I can't wait to see what you do with the car.  The paint is going to look awesome and one of a kind!  Good luck with the build! :)
